Monday, June 18, 2007 Benjamin Franklin Benjamin Franklin was amazing. He invented many things. He was also a scientist and a writer. He worked for the governor too. He was born in Boston in 1706. Once he went to Philadelphia, married, bought a house, and had three children. The oldest two were males. The youngest was a female. Unfortunately, his youngest son got very sick and died when he was only four years old. Later he went to France. He stayed in France so long, that when he came back, his daughter had already had two children! Earlier, when he was in Philadelphia, he ran away from being a printer’s apprentice in his brother James’s workshop. One day, he had three big loaves of bread from the baker and large bunches of clothes in his pockets. As he walked along the street, people hid their smiles. A lovely girl standing in a doorway even laughed and snickered out loud. When Benjamin was a little older, he married the girl who snickered at him. Benjamin Franklin wrote something like a book. It was called Poor Richards Almanac. It was basically like a book with tips and information. He also wrote the Gazette for Philadelphia. Benjamin Franklin had lots of good ideas and inspired many people. I had fun reading and learning about him. For more information, I recommend reading books about Benjamin Franklin.

I learned lots of interesting facts about Dr. Seuss. Did you know he loved to go see the circus down the street? Also Ted’s parents soon learned he was never going to be studious like has sister. Ted loved to hear stories when he was a kid and he loved to go to the zoo. His dad used to work at the zoo. Ted’s favorite thing that he loved to do was to go the library and pick out books with his mother. I learned a lot about Dr. Seuss. He was really interesting. Questions Aailyah would ask Dr. Seuss
