Monday, June 18, 2007 Waterhouse Hawkins Waterhouse Hawkins lived in 1853 in London. He made the first life-size models of dinosaurs. He was an artist and a scientist. Hawkins made dinosaurs come to life. He was such a great artist that they looked real. The Queen of England liked Waterhouse Hawkins’ dinosaurs. He came and taught people in America about dinosaurs too. Dinosaur models look different today than they did in 1853. In 1853, people thought that some dinosaurs crawled. Today, people think that some dinosaurs stand on two legs. Hawkins was interesting to learn about. My cousin, Jackson, got me interested in dinosaurs by teaching me a lot about them. My brother also has a DVD and taught me about dinosaurs too. Then in school, I read a biography about Waterhouse Hawkins who studied dinosaurs. That is why it is interesting to me. ![]() Questions John L. would ask Waterhoues Hawkins What would you ask Waterhouse Hawkins?
