Betsy Ross was born on January first. People believe that she made the first American flag. Other people say that Betsy did not make the American flag.
Betsy Ross lived in Philadelphia. Betsy lived with her mother, sisters, and her brother. When she was a little girl, her dad died in a fire in her old house. She was sad that her dad died in the fire. Her mother was sad too. Her dad died when she was only six years old. She did not have any pets.
Betsy was nice to people. She helped people get better and wanted to become a nurse. She changed her mind because she wanted to make the American flag. Read more about Betsy Ross.

Hi Morgan! My name is Morgan also and I too am studying Betsy Ross in class. Did you know that Betsy was married three times? Each to her best friend. She also had seven kids,a nd lived in the same house her entire life. Great summary/ story of Betsy Ross's life!!

Betsy's Dad did not die in a fire he died of the yellow fever along with her mother and sister. She was the eighth child in a family of 17! She had 8 children not 7. Did you know that two of her husbands died because of the war?
